Einson, You Suck! IBM, Way To Screw Your Biggest Fans!

So .. got the tax documents from the first Linux on Power contest. And they screwed up (again.. anyone surprised? Me either. So first they can pocket a cool $500 per contestant, and NOW they get to write it off as a contest winning.. way to go asshats.) Read on for the details.

Here's the last email I exchanged with them when they screwed up the prizes to begin with:

The documents will be filed for 2005. The computer that you received is the correct model. The ARV is just an estimate of the cost for the machine. You will only be taxed on the fair market value of the computer, which is $1999.00 plus tax and shipping. Sorry for the confusion. If you have any other problems or questions please let me know.

So .. who can guess how much "extra income" is listed on this tax document? Way to go IBM, way to encourage developers to use your new platform... keep on bending them over at every turn, yay.
