Not much is happening due to the holidays, but here are some quick updates on Android Market, Lenovo and cupcake/master/rc31ish.
- Android phone maker Lenovo is restructuring (consolidating) due to the global economic slowdown.
- Google has released more information about paid apps, geotargetting and other upcoming changes to the Market. (Summary: Its still early 1st Q for USA/EU, maybe later for others, and someday you will be able to pick countries to sell in.)
- Googler JBQ worked before the holiday to get cupcake (their internal perforce tree) merged to master (their external git/repo tree) and while he was successful, it was totally hoarked up for G1/ADP1 platform hackers (didn't even build). Thats fixed now, it builds - it is still pretty messed up (librild talks to the cell modem, and we don't have the new binary) but it is progress.
- Rumours abound of an rc30 unlock. I can say no more, except that this method is much more releasable than the last one..
Thats all for now.. Happy new year all!
